It all started with a small rulote made by hand, with the help of friends and family.
Year after year, we've grown, overcoming pandemics, wars and many challenges along the way. Today, we have more branches and an incredible team of 15 people.
OSR can be summed up in one sentence: "excellent products in an unexpected place". Our oysters from the River Sado, combined with a good wine, are served in an unconventional way: in a rulote by the river or wherever you like! And to make it even more special, what makes it work is the sun.
Our rulotes are 100% autonomous, powered only by solar energy, with panels and batteries that guarantee everything we need.
>>
We currently have two fixed rulotes, open all year round: Setubalense and Alfacinha.
And for those who want to enjoy our oysters in other ways, there are more options:
- Private events, where we take the rulotes and counters anywhere
- Takeaway oysters (open or closed)
- Delivery of oysters throughout the country (closed)
What's next?
Over these six years, we've been through difficult times, but we've never stopped growing. The plan for the future is simple: to keep evolving and doing better.
We are committed to:
- Maintaining resilience, prepared for any challenge that arises;
- Reinforcing our environmental commitment;
- Focusing even more on customer welfare;
- Investing heavily in team training and better working conditions;
- Expanding with more fixed foodtrucks across the country, exploring new business models.
The aim is to continue to surprise and take the OSR experience even further!

"My journey into the world of business began at the age of 22, when I decided to become a restaurant entrepreneur. My degree in Materials Engineering from FCT NOVA gave me a solid technical basis to move forward with this project.
The creation of OSR was born out of the desire to bring something different to Setúbal, a city with immense potential and excellent regional products, which are often undervalued. From the outset, a commitment to quality and sustainability has been the cornerstone of the business.
I knew that Setúbal had great oysters, as I had already helped an uncle of mine harvest and sort them. I also had an interest in renewable energies, experience in finding rulotes for a street vending business and saw the city as the ideal setting for something innovative.
The biggest challenge was turning the idea into reality. With a small budget and no experience in the field, the journey was long and full of obstacles. But it was these challenges that made it all the more rewarding."

We are a company that prioritizes the quality and origin of its products, always opting for Portuguese and, whenever possible, regional options. We value what is ours and promote a more sustainable economy, reducing our carbon footprint by choosing local suppliers.
Our oysters, which come from the River Sado, stand out for their demanding selection from exclusive suppliers. They are known for their freshness, fleshy texture and the perfect balance between the saltiness of the sea and the sweetness of the well-crafted muscle.
We guarantee the safety of the oysters through a rigorous purification, transportation and packaging process, eliminating any harmful micro-organisms and ensuring safe consumption.
The final quality also depends on the opening and service technique, which is why we invest in training our team.

Our rulotes are 100% energy autonomous, running exclusively on solar energy.
We favor local products to reduce the environmental footprint associated with transportation and packaging.
We are against waste: we keep a reduced supply in order to optimize stock, avoid waste and guarantee maximum efficiency in the packaging of products. We separate glass and packaging and are expanding this practice to include oyster shells.
Since 2023, we have renewed our fleet to 100% electric vehicles. In 2024, we made our central warehouse energy autonomous and sustainable by installing photovoltaic panels.
